summer vacation part 2

After leaving WI we were on our way to Lansing, MI. The plan was to go around Chicago but due to a missed exit, of which I would like to state, that as the navigator, I did announce the next exit but the driver claims, "it wasn't there!". So we ended up going through Chicago. But, it was really cool despite the bit of traffic we were in on a Sunday afternoon, I'm sure it was nothing compared to a weekday. It was cool to see Chicago in slow motion!

The reason we went to MI was to celebrate Tim's Mom's 70th birthday! Everyone was able to come and it was good to see Tim's family, most of whom I had never met, including 2 of his siblings!

Although there are no pictures of me, I assure you, I was there. I was just the one holding the camera.

We left Michigan early Thursday morning and decided to go back home through the U.P.!! I was very excited!
