.note from the infirmary.

Just a quick note to let you know a real blog entry complete with pics will be coming soon. Emmi and GG have a nasty strain of rotavirus. Emmi has been better for a few days now but Graycen is still in the midst with a minor cold on top of it. He's a miserable little guy. So... that's my excuse for no postings lately :) Be back soon!

Oh, and I suppose I could share a funny thing...
Brayden is a bit of a germaphobe, even more than me I think. And the first day Emmi started getting sick last week he gave specific instructions to Emmi 'not to sit on the couch, the chairs, or stand on the floor because she will get her sick germs ALL OVER!' After I explained to B that Emmi cannot float and giving her the "special" chair to be in for the remainder of her sickness, B was a little less worried. But he would have times were he would continually wash his hands (like every 5 mins. which is good just not the worrying part) and ask if there were sick germs on something. Then at one point after Emmi had thrown-up in the living room... he started pacing saying "Oh no now there's germs on the carpet!" then went in to wash his hands then came back out and started pacing again. I felt this 'freaking out' needed to be addressed so I stopped cleaning and we talked for a bit about anxiety and trusting in God and hygiene. It was a great conversation and he was much more relaxed. But at the end of our conversation he said, "But Mom, I think I need some sanitizer!" Oh boy, what have I done to him! But I must say that he never did get sick!

That is hilarious, Jess! I just wonder who he got that from...hmmm?!?!?

That is great that you were able to STOP cleaning up the throw up and take time to talk with B! THat is HUGE, Jess!

May God continue to bless you as you care for your dear family.

Love you!

Love that B is so concerned. If you use Vinegar water to rinse the area after cleaning it will sanitize the and get the soap out. If you want to kill germs and do it a very natural and cheap way here is a recipe. Take a quart bottle, add 1/4 cup bleach, 1/4 cup vinegar and then fill the bottle up with water. You must use water with this. What the vinegar does is turns the bleach into an acid. It has a shelf life of 24 hours. That is why you cannot buy it in the store. Oh, it will bleach anything on contact. so do not use it on anything that will turn. On counters and toilets wait for it to dry before using the area because it will bleach whatever.:)

Oh B, you are cute. I think you have a bit of both mom and dad in you though!!! The perfectionist germophobic, and the deep thinker who then thinks too much about the germs!!! Haha. (I won't mention who's who!!!) Love you B!!
