- The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden--Always Free! (except when there are special events going on)
- The Minnesota State Capital--tours are held everyday and are free.
- Walker Art Center--Free admission on the first Saturday of the month and Thursday Evenings after 5pm
- The Bell Museum of Natural History--Free admission on Sundays
- The Children's Museum--Free admission on the 3rd Sunday of the month
- Minnesota Landscape Arboretum--free all day on Thursdays in the winter (Nov 1st- April 24) and free on Thursday evenings from 4:30-8pm or sunset in the Summer. There are also free family events and music on Thursday evenings in the summer.
- I was already aware of this, but your at your local library you can check out Adventure Passes which are 2 or 4 free passes to various museums and zoos.
- In addition to the free admission Como zoo and Conservatory offers a children's story time at 12:30 on Thursdays (although I'm not quite sure where at the zoo this is)
I am not done searching for these free activities, so if you have any ideas, PLEASE pass them along!!
