our little ham

Graycen is almost 2. Can't believe it. He went from baby to toddler in about 2 hours. He's held back on his speaking but suddenly...sentences (well, 3-4 words together). But that's how it's been with everything with him; sitting, crawling, walking...nothing. Then bam, he's a pro. No gradual learning, he just does it one day.

Yesterday, we were trying to expand his knowledge of animal noises. He only knows puppy, kitty and cow. We were in the van on a little outing and B was determined to teach him something new. He started out with the familiar ones first...here's how it went.

B: "Graycen, what does a puppy say?"
G: "Puppy. Ruff Ruff!"
B: "What does a kitty say?"
G: In the highest, sweetest voice possible he answers, "Meeeeoooow"
B: "What does a cow say?"
G: "MOOOO"
B: "Good. Here's a new one. What does a chicken say?"
G: Licking and smacking his lips he responds, "MMMMM, Yummy!"

He never ceases to make us laugh! What a gift!
