Happy Day!

Well, our little Emmalyn Grace turned 4 on Saturday. So, hard to believe. And she has been grace in our lives. She is full of personality, silliness, and has the quickest mood changes of anyone I know (we're workin on it right Em?!). She has beautiful lips, an amazing imagination, a contagious little giggle, a desire to help and serve, and the squishiest cheeks you can't help but kiss. We love you so much Emmi!! We are so thankful God has placed you in our lives...what a gift. We pray that you would continue to love Jesus and serve him with your whole heart for His glory.

Saturday evening we had a little family party for her. (No kid parties yet...not till age 6!) Grandpa, Grandma, Auntie Sheshie and Auntie Lynnie joined us for cake icecream and presents.

The cake disaster. I baked a PINK cake Saturday morning and I think I let it cool too long in the pans. When I took them out they broke into several pieces. Ugh. Emmi was standing with me when it happened. She didn't say anything but gasp and look terrified that her cake was "broken". Tim came to the rescue and attempted to "glue" it back together with the PINK frosting but to no avail. He then ran to Sam's for an over-frosted Dora cake with cupcakes. It worked and Emmi didn't mind. We kept the destroyed cake because, well, it tastes the same :)

All of the attention made Emmi nervous and on edge. She doesn't like to be in the spotlight. When everyone started singing she didn't quite know how to react. But, she eventually blew out the candles.
