One thing B has been learning is letter sounds. Without worrying about spelling, I told him my grocery list and had him sound out the words and write them as he heard the sounds. Then we went shopping and he had to sound out the words he wrote to tell me what we needed. He is so excited to start reading. For some reason he thought a space between a word meant to put a colon. Here is the list he wrote out:
1. bread2. milk
3. noodles
4. oatmeal
5. butter
6. jelly
7 coffee
8. apples
9. baby food
10. snacks
11. garlic
12. bags
13. tomato sauce
we went through a few days last week where Graycen wasn't napping well in the afternoon, so I thought maybe he was ready to drop his morning nap. ha!...guess not...he didn't even get half-way through lunch. sorry dude.
