.party time.

well, it's just after 10:00 and i'm still in my jammies drinking coffee. today is monday and usually monday are...well...you know...a little crazy...they're mondays. but today, i'm planning on no craziness...well, as much as i can. after a crazy week/weekend consisting of meetings, a root canal (for Tim), surgery, late nights and early mornings, babysitting, and oh ya...birthday parties which is what this post is supposed to be about. B had two birthday parties this past week. One for just us, and then with grandpa & grandma, uncle, and great aunties.

thursday was his actual birthday, but it was also the day of graycen's surgery, so i wasn't there for a big chunk of the day. but, daddy took b out to panacakes (as b calls them) to perkins which is not too far from us. well, at least in driving. you see i had the van so tim thought that he and b and emmi would just bike there, since it was "just around the corner". well, it is 'around the corner' and down the street and across the railroad tracks and across a busy highway.
here's the story: i had to be at the hospital at 7:30am that morning. tim grabbed the garage door opener, went to the garage and grabbed the stroller for me, loaded it into the van and sent me on my way. awhile later i received a message from tim asking me if i knew where he had left the garage door opener. (he needed it to get the bikes out of the garage to ride to perkins 'just around the corner'.) thinking that he left it in the van when he put the stroller in, he opted to let emmi still ride her bike since it was already out, b rode his scooter, and tim rode a child's skateboard, since it was 'just around the corner'! arriving at perkins later than expected, sweaty, out of breath, and dirty (from who knows what), they ordered their pancakes. the way home was much longer and more stressful, tim was now riding the scooter, carrying the skateboard and pulling a little pink bike with training wheels, while trying to keep the children close and out of harms way. all this for birthday pancakes...what a dad!!
Later that night, tim cleaned out his pockets, and guess what he found...the garage door opener, which had been there the whole day! :-)

."party" on thursday night...spiderman cupcakes.

.b and uncle ryan (my brother).
.emmi enjoying the food...oh shock.

.b and great aunt sheshie.

b was very blessed and got tons of fun stuff...transformer, robot movie, games, guitar t-shirt, football, candy, frisbee, sweatshirt, puzzle, and i'm sure i'm missing something. thanks everyone for making it a great day and making fun memories.
