the low down

Well, the Schmidtys are sick...well at least three of us and probably the rest soon. You know how that goes. The last two days have been filled with coughing, resting, washing my hands a zillion times, and cleaning every surface that can be touched with germies (as we call them in our family)! I have some respiratory thing and Graycen is stuffy and B joined us this morning waking up with a stuffy nose. This is our first sickness this winter!! Such a blessing in comparison to previous winters! No bronchitus, pneumonia, or so much as the sniffles until now!! We are truly blessed that God chose to heal our family from all that respiratory junk the past few years from the mold! What grace!

Other updates:

I have started potty training Emmi...again. I'm not quite sure what to do with her, she knows what to do, because she did it perfectly for 5 weeks and now it has become a battle with her. She now is scared to go #2.
It is said that 'girls are easier to potty train than boys'....HA!! Not in this house! Pray for me for patience with her and for God to show me wisdom how to handle it...whether I should wait and start up again a little later or persevere on.

For those of you who don't know, we are now officially debt free (besides our house and van)!!! It is a great feeling! No bites on our house, but I think we may be reducing the price soon.

As I mentioned in the previous post Graycen is now scooting on his belly. His favorite forbidden "toy" : the removable vent cover. No matter where I put him on the floor, he somehow manages to find it. He also is starting to sit up a little bit...with support. He is growing so fast!

Big brother B woke up this morning stuffy and it is killing him that he can't be near to Graycen...they are big time buddies! I think they will be very close.

And Tim...well He was looking in to getting Lasik done, since he was way over due for glasses and they are soooo expensive. But, he took B and Emmi to play at Edinborough Park, and was having so much fun that he got smacked in the face by a basketball and it snapped his glasses in two! Unable to repair them, he had to get new glasses pronto. So he will be waiting for Lasik. Oh well, God knows!

Well, I will leave you with a pic of Graycen. I'm hoping his fingers replace his pacifier!!!

Hey Jess-
Faith is sick for the first time this winter as well. Great news about debt free! Isn't it funny when kids have something they always get into. Well not exactly funny but you know what I mean. It was GREAT to see you Sunday. I love your long hair:)

Sorry about you all being sick. That's great you guys haven't been sick all winter!
Awesome about being debt free! Are you guys still selling your house?
I will pray for you regarding potty training Emmi. I have no idea if girls are easier (but they don't have to remember to put the seat down!=)
May GOd give you His strength and grace to carry you through this sick season in your family.
Love you!
Meg
